Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. She took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In her 1972 first international event that was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In her very first competition in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals aswell as one silver. She was the first woman to perform a reverse double salo with the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. The path she took to success began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The shows were the ice skating of which was followed by musical performances.
