David Muir is an American journalist and anchor best known for his ABC news program World News Tonight with David Muir in addition to the ABC News magazine 20/20 for which he serves as a co-anchor. With its animated gestures and dramatic videos of celebrity gossip, his show has become the most watched newscast in America. Made In America, his Emmy nominated program, is another one of his contributions. He was the primary anchor substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer before taking over ABC World News Tonight. He was the anchor for numerous evening specials on primetime ABC News some recent ones include Breaking Point: Heroin in America and Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He's covered news from around the world, including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He is the recipient of several Emmy Awards, Edward R.
